How to Join ...

Joining Scouting is as easy as picking up the phone or clicking an e-mail link from this Web Site. We'll quickly have you in touch with the leader of a Scouting unit that's right for you. You can call the Rainbow Council Service Center at (815) 942-4450 between 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. One of the professionals there will put you directly in touch with the unit leaders in your neighborhood. They can also answer any questions you don't find the answer to on these pages.

siloette.gif If you want to find out more before you call, or want to get directly in touch with a leader in the unit you're interested in, visit our Rainbow Council Units page. There, we have a complete list of all Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, Explorer Posts, and Sea Scout Ships in Rainbow Council. You can send an e-mail directly to the Units page which will go straight to the unit leader, if s/he has email access, or to the Scout Service Center, if the leader does not.

That's all there is to it! The leader will be glad to invite you to an upcoming meeting to see things for yourself, and help you fill out a short registration form.

But before we get into the details of how, consider ....

Volunteer to help Scouting in Rainbow Council!!

Many adults have benefited from the Scouting program. If you have children in first grade through high school, consider the fun you had while learning the lessons of citizenship that Scouting delivers, and bring them down to your local Scouting Unit and get involved.

Even if you don't have kids of Scouting age, please consider supporting Scouting in some way. To join our fine team, please contact the Council Service Center at 815-942-4450.
